I HATE EXERCISE!
By the way, I have been watching The Biggest Loser in the past few days and God, I could not believe how much drama is there in the show! Anyway..
Today I want to talk to you exercise haters – get your ass off the couch and do some sports!
There is no born-exercise hater, on the contrary, we were BORN to exercise. We learnt to walk before we uttered the first word. As a kid, we jumped up and down the couch, ran (instead of walked) to wherever we had to go, played hide-and-seek in the parks and of course, ran away from our parents' discipline (beating).. We were born athletes!!
Exercise haters are prone to excuses. Why? They probably have had bad experience with workout in the past. Perhaps they were being teased and discouraged in school gym classes as they did not perform as well as the others. Perhaps they used to be the top-notch athletes in school until their career takes up all their time. Or they are busy looking after their babies and children. Or they need company to work out together! Whatever your reason is, change your mindset and do something different today.
Get outside your comfort zone and do a sport that you have never tried before! How does surfing sound? Group aerobics? Hiking with your good friends? (hey you can always reward yourself with a beer after a 4-hr hike! Get online or go to local community centers to see what they have to offer. You will make a bunch of new friends in class too! Talk about serious networking.
You never have to get fit for exercise! Rather, you get fit from exercise! Put on your sexy flattering workout outfits and flaunt it! Think about the compliments and how good you feel about yourself. Be proud of what you have done!
No man can achieve anything without setting a goal. Visualize the goal in your mind and bring it into reality. Reward yourself once you got it accomplished! i.e. I can visualize myself completing the hilly half marathon this Sun under 2.hours 15 minutes and I will reward myself with a pair of hot running tights! Oh, and the post-workout pasta..
Remember, we all have to power to better our lives, sometimes we just need a little push!
Be Your Best,
Joey
